A highly respected school in Derbyshire is seeking a talented Music Teacher to join their vibrant and supportive department. Job Description: As a Music Teacher, you will play a key role in fostering a love of music across all year groups. You will be responsible for delivering dynamic music lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the development of the music curriculum. Collaborating with fellow teachers and staff, you’ll create an inclusive and stimulating environment where students can develop their musical abilities. Music Teacher Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring music lessons across various year groups. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve. Foster creativity through music, enabling students to explore a range of genres and musical skills. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music curriculum and share best practices. Encourage participation in extracurricular activities, including school performances and music clubs. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth. Music Teacher Qualifications: A degree in Music or a related field. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching music at the secondary school level (or relevant experience). Strong understanding of music theory and practical teaching methods. A passion for music education and inspiring students. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students creatively.
