Job description
A high-performing secondary school in North Manchester is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PE ECT from September 2026. PE ECT required from September 2026. Manchester (Prestwich Area) – Mainstream Secondary School. Seeking an early career teacher with a passion for practical sport, health education and inclusive PE delivery. You will teach PE across KS3–KS4 , developing engaging practical lessons and contributing to extracurricular sport. The role requires creativity, strong organisation and the ability to inspire pupils of varying abilities. Experience & Qualifications QTS (or QTS pending) essential. Degree in PE, Sport Science or a related field. Strong understanding of inclusive PE and performance pathways. Willingness to support school sports teams and enrichment clubs. School Information This secondary school places strong emphasis on wellbeing, participation and character development. PE is a popular subject with access to modern facilities and strong leadership support. Staff describe a welcoming culture with well-structured mentoring for ECTs.
