Job description
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and inventive Design & Technology ECT to join an innovative and high-performing secondary school in Basingstoke . This is a full-time, permanent role starting in January 2026. • Design & Technology ECT • Innovative and Supportive School in Basingstoke • Full-time, permanent position • DT ECT role starting January 2026 School Information This Basingstoke school is recognised for its strong focus on technical education, creativity, and real-world learning . The DT Department is modern and well-equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, CAD/CAM systems, and CNC machinery. The school is deeply committed to supporting ECTs with excellent training, structured mentoring, and professional development opportunities. Role Information You will teach DT across KS3–KS4, specialising in Product Design or Engineering. You’ll also support design challenges and project-based learning initiatives that encourage innovation and sustainability. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking ECT looking to build confidence in an inspiring environment. Experience and Qualifications • Degree in DT, Product Design, or Engineering • PGCE and QTS • Ability to teach DT to KS3/4 • Passionate about innovation and practical learning Salary Paid to scale on MPS Application This DT ECT position represents an exciting opportunity to launch your career in an innovative and supportive Basingstoke school.
