Job description
A caring and inclusive 11–18 secondary school in the Shrewsbury area is seeking a thoughtful and enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Education , suitable for an Early Career Teacher, to join its Humanities faculty. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your teaching career in a school that values reflection, respectful discussion and strong professional support. The Opportunity You will teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, following a well-structured curriculum that explores religion, philosophy and ethics in a balanced and academically rigorous way. Lessons encourage students to think critically, express ideas confidently and engage respectfully with a wide range of beliefs and viewpoints. The department works collaboratively, sharing planning and resources to support consistency while allowing teachers the freedom to develop their own classroom style. RE is a valued subject within the school, with strong engagement and positive outcomes at GCSE. ECT Support & Induction This school has a strong reputation for nurturing Early Career Teachers.
