Job description
This may be the Pre-Prep After School Supervisor opportunity you’ve been looking for… A welcoming and well-established independent school in Southwark is seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic After School Supervisor to support pupils in its Pre-Prep department. Key Details Pre-Prep After School Supervisor required Full-time position, starting as soon as possible Independent school with a strong pastoral ethos Supporting children aged 3–7 during after-school provision The School This is a friendly and nurturing independent school that prides itself on providing a safe, happy, and stimulating environment where young children can thrive. The Pre-Prep department places a strong emphasis on pastoral care, routine, and positive relationships, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported. The after-school provision is an extension of the school day, offering pupils a calm and enjoyable space to unwind through play, creative activities, and structured routines. Staff work closely as a team and are supported by approachable leadership who value kindness, professionalism, and consistency. Location & Hours Location: Southwark Start Date: ASAP Hours: Afternoons during term time Salary: Competitive Pre-Prep After School Supervisor – Experience & Qualities Experience working with young children in a school, nursery, or childcare setting (desirable) A warm, patient, and responsible approach to child supervision Ability to create a safe, calm, and engaging environment Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training provided if required) Legal right to work in the UK Application If you are a dependable and caring individual who enjoys working with young children and supporting their wellbeing beyond the classroom, we would love to hear from you.
