🧠 Part-Time Psychology Teacher – Wandsworth 🎓 Inspire Futures in a Top South West London School, Start January 2026 We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and dedicated Part-Time Teacher of Psychology to join the successful Humanities or Social Sciences faculty at a high-achieving secondary school/academy in the London Borough of Wandsworth . This is a Part-Time, Permanent Position starting in January 2026 (or sooner). Part-Time Psychology Teacher (Specific FTE to be discussed) Permanent position starting January 2026 High-achieving secondary school in Wandsworth Teach Psychology, primarily at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) The Opportunity The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective Psychology specialist with a passion for teaching A-Level students. This is a crucial role supporting the academic success of students studying one of the most popular subjects at Key Stage 5. The exact Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) is negotiable but is likely around 0.6 FTE to 0.8 FTE . There may be an opportunity for a small Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) payment, which would be pro-rata , for responsibilities such as coordinating the AQA/Edexcel syllabus or overseeing extended project qualifications. The School This is a well-regarded, high-achieving school known for its excellent sixth-form provision and strong commitment to staff and student well-being. Located in Wandsworth, the school benefits from excellent transport links across Inner London. The school provides a supportive, collaborative working environment and offers access to extensive, tailored CPD programmes , even for part-time staff. We Are Looking For: A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) . A proven track record as an excellent Psychology Teacher , with essential experience teaching the subject at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) . Strong subject knowledge across all core topics (e.g., approaches, research methods, key debates). A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire students to achieve top grades. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to department planning. Salary and Benefits Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Inner London Teachers (currently £40,317 - £62,496 for 2025/2026). Pro-Rata Salary: Your final salary will be this scale multiplied by your agreed FTE (e.g., 0.6×MPS). Any agreed TLR payment would also be pro-rata (likely an equivalent to a TLR 3 or small TLR 2).
