Art ECT – Mixed School in Croydon (January Start) Location: Croydon Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale A well-respected mixed secondary school in Croydon is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art ECT to join their department from January 2026. About the School The school is known for its inclusive ethos, excellent pastoral care, and commitment to professional development for Early Career Teachers. ECTs benefit from a strong induction programme, dedicated mentor support, and regular training opportunities. About the Art Department The Art Department is dynamic, collaborative, and highly aspirational. Students work across a range of media including drawing, painting, photography, digital design, and sculpture. The department regularly showcases work through exhibitions, competitions, and gallery visits. The Role • Teach Art across KS3–KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience) • Deliver creative and well-structured lessons • Support extra-curricular art clubs and exhibition work • Engage in mentor-led ECT development sessions Requirements • Currently completing teacher training – QTS by January • Degree in Art or related subject • Creative, innovative, and passionate about arts education To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible.
