Job description
We are working with a highly prestigious, "Outstanding" secondary school in Haringey to recruit an ambitious Music ECT for a permanent, full-time position starting this March. This is a rare opportunity to join a school where the arts are not just a subject, but a central pillar of the school's cultural identity. About the School This school is celebrated for its commitment to academic excellence and its world-class music facilities, including a bespoke performance hall and high-spec recording studios. The leadership team prioritises the professional growth of Early Career Teachers, providing a structured induction programme, a reduced timetable, and a dedicated mentor who is a lead practitioner in the arts. It is a scholarly, tranquil environment where student behaviour is exemplary and creativity is encouraged at every turn. The Role The successful candidate will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering a curriculum that balances traditional theory with contemporary performance and composition. You will be encouraged to lead extra-curricular ensembles and contribute to the school's high-profile annual concert calendar. The school is looking for a specialist who can inspire students of all backgrounds to find their musical voice. Requirements QTS (or pending) and a degree in Music. The school is unable to offer visa sponsorship; candidates must have the right to work in the UK. A proactive approach to participating in the school's wider musical life. Salary M1 – UPS3 (£40,317 – £62,496) per annum.
