Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teacher for a lovely, inclusive school located in a residential area of Waltham Forest, starting April 2025. This is a full-time position. The school offers a supportive environment with a strong ethos of inclusion and community. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages mutual respect and enthusiasm for learning. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear development targets. Foster students’ independence and creativity, helping them build essential skills for future learning. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure high standards of teaching and learning. Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and addressing any concerns. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required. KS1 Teacher Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, especially in Year 1. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the diverse learning needs of students. A team-oriented approach and a passion for inclusive education.
