Job descriptionWe are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in New Malden, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 and enjoys supporting pupils as they transition from Key Stage 1 into more independent and structured learning. As a Year 3 Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally during this important stage of their development. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum, promoting positive learning behaviours, and ensuring all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL, are supported effectively. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum Deliver engaging literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject lessons Support pupils transitioning from KS1 to KS2 with confidence and independence Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and a growth mindset Maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment and attainment records Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives Support school events, enrichment activities, and extra-curricular opportunities Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills Be reflective, adaptable, and proactive in their teaching approach Show a clear commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing Work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team The school is located in New Malden, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community.
