Job description
RE Teacher – Lambeth – Exploring Beliefs, Fostering Understanding An Outstanding secondary school in Lambeth seeks a dedicated and insightful RE Teacher to join their department. This is a vital role, fostering students' understanding of different religions and beliefs, promoting respect, and encouraging critical reflection on ethical and philosophical questions. A Journey of Discovery: This full-time, permanent RE Teacher position (paid on the MPS/UPS scale) involves: Delivering engaging and challenging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5). Covering a range of world religions and belief systems, promoting understanding and respect for diversity. Exploring ethical and philosophical issues, encouraging critical thinking and debate. Developing students' ability to analyze and evaluate different perspectives. Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback. Teaching at an Outstanding school. Your Guiding Principles: The ideal RE Teacher will possess: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field. Proven experience teaching RE at the secondary level. A deep understanding of different religions and belief systems. Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
