Job description
Are you a Biology ECT ready to inspire the next generation of scientists? We are recruiting a committed Biology Teacher for a high-achieving secondary school in Swindon, starting January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs. About the School This high-achieving Swindon school is respected for its academic ambition, excellent behaviour, and strong pastoral structures. About the Science Department The Science Department is well-established and highly successful, with modern laboratories, experienced technicians, and a collaborative teaching team. Biology is a popular subject with high uptake and excellent exam outcomes. About the Role As a Biology Teacher, your responsibilities will include: • Teaching Biology and general Science across KS3 and KS4 • Delivering practical investigations and theory-based lessons • Monitoring progress and supporting students to reach ambitious targets • Contributing to the development of schemes of work and resources • Supporting extracurricular Science activities • Taking part in the ECT induction programme Experience and Qualifications • Degree in Biology or a related subject • PGCE or QTS • Biology Teacher Salary Paid to scale – MPS/UPS Application To be considered for this Biology Teacher role in Swindon, please send your CV as soon as possible.
