Job description
RE Teacher required for an immediate start – Maternity Cover Good mixed secondary school based in Richmond RE Teacher to join a highly successful and well-resourced Humanities department Our client is seeking an RE Teacher to join a well-respected mixed secondary school in Richmond on a maternity cover basis , starting immediately . The successful RE Teacher will be expected to teach across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5 , depending on experience. The department is well resourced and led by an approachable and supportive Head of Humanities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving team with a strong reputation for academic excellence and inclusive teaching. The school welcomes applications from both experienced RE Teachers and ECTs , as well as overseas-trained teachers with a formal teaching qualification and QTS . School Information Oversubscribed school with excellent behaviour and motivated students Good mixed 11–18 secondary school with modern classrooms and specialist Humanities facilities Excellent transport links across Richmond and surrounding areas The school has been graded ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted and is known for its caring, community-focused ethos. The Humanities faculty achieves consistently strong results, with students demonstrating curiosity, empathy, and respect for diverse perspectives. In 2023, 80% of GCSE students achieved grades 9–4 in Religious Studies , with an increasing number continuing to study Humanities subjects at A-Level. The RE Department offers a rich and thought-provoking curriculum that encourages critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and cultural understanding. Lessons are supported by excellent resources, interactive technology, and a variety of enrichment activities such as philosophy clubs, interfaith projects, and guest speaker events .
