Job description
Religious Studies Teacher required January 2026 Good mixed school based in Yaxley, Peterborough Religious Studies Teacher to join a well-established and motivated Humanities department Our Client is looking for a Religious Studies Teacher to work within a large, successful mixed comprehensive in Yaxley, Peterborough. The successful RS Teacher will teach KS3 & KS4 and contribute to developing students’ understanding of worldviews, ethics, and philosophy. School Information This 11–18 school serves around 1,200 students and continues to produce strong academic results, with 94% of pupils achieving grades 9–4 in English and Maths. The Humanities department has a well-balanced curriculum, offering RS alongside Philosophy, Citizenship, and Ethics as part of a broad and inclusive programme. Teachers describe the school as calm, community-focused, and academically ambitious. The leadership team fosters a culture of respect, high standards, and collaboration. The RS department is known for its engaging discussions, project-based assessments, and support for students’ spiritual, moral, and cultural development.
