Job description
An independent boarding and day school in Gloucester is looking to appoint a dedicated and inspiring Music Teacher to join their thriving Music Department from January 2026 . This is a full-time, permanent role at a school with a rich musical tradition and strong academic focus. About the Role The successful teacher will deliver Music from KS3–KS5 , preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations while promoting musical excellence across the school. They will direct ensembles, choirs, or orchestras according to their strengths and play a key role in supporting the school’s extensive co-curricular music programme. They will also have opportunities to accompany students on musical tours, coordinate concerts, and work alongside peripatetic staff to deliver instrumental lessons and workshops. About the School This outstanding independent school boasts a state-of-the-art music centre featuring rehearsal rooms, a recording studio, and a performance auditorium. Music is integral to school life, with termly concerts, chapel services, and theatre productions that showcase student talent. The department is highly collaborative, with staff encouraged to bring new ideas and specialisms to enrich the curriculum.
