Psychology Teacher - Battersea, Wandsworth 🧠 We're currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Battersea, within the borough of Wandsworth. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire students with a love for the human mind and behaviour. The school has a thriving Psychology department and an excellent record of student achievement at both GCSE and A-Level. The Role The school is looking for a qualified Psychology Teacher with proven experience teaching the subject at both GCSE and A-Level. The ideal candidate will be adept at making complex theories and research methods accessible and engaging for all students. You will be responsible for: Delivering high-quality, thought-provoking lessons that cover a wide range of psychological topics and approaches. Developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that challenges students to think critically about human behaviour. Guiding students through research methods, data analysis, and essay writing skills. Providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential in examinations and coursework. Collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve the department's resources and teaching strategies. Candidate Requirements To be considered for this rewarding position, you should have: A degree in Psychology or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE. Proven experience teaching Psychology at the secondary school level, with a strong focus on A-Level . A comprehensive understanding of the major psychological theories, studies, and debates. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Salary & Application The salary for this position is competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale (Inner London pay scale), commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
