Job description
A highly successful, Outstanding secondary school in Islington requires a permanent, full-time Spanish Teacher for a January 2026 start. This is a crucial opportunity within a thriving MFL department committed to linguistic excellence and cultural immersion. About the School The School is a vibrant, Outstanding-rated mixed comprehensive school (Years 7-13) with a strong local reputation. It fosters a purposeful environment where independent and deep thinking is respected and holistic excellence is nurtured. Pupil success stems from their enjoyment of academic enquiry and debate that extends beyond prescribed syllabuses. The School is fully committed to every student’s development and wellbeing. Responsibilities The Spanish Teacher will deliver inspiring and rigorous instruction across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and 5 (A-Level). The teacher is responsible for driving high attainment and promoting fluency, accurate grammar, and a deep appreciation for Hispanic culture. They must lead engaging sessions utilizing advanced language resources and technology. The Spanish Teacher is expected to contribute to consistent high academic outcomes, particularly for competitive higher education language courses. The teacher must actively participate in departmental planning and support co-curricular MFL societies. Requirements Holds or is soon to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Has the right to work in the UK. Holds a Degree or has experience teaching Spanish. Benefits Excellent salary paid on the Inner London Teachers' Pay Scale (MPS/UPS).
