Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cambridge . This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching, supporting students’ academic and personal growth while working within a supportive and collaborative team. Year 5 Teacher Role · Full-Time · January 2026 Start · Permanent Contract The School This is a friendly and inclusive primary school in Cambridge with a Good Ofsted rating. The school values creativity, curiosity, and holistic child development. Staff are committed to fostering a love of learning and ensuring every child reaches their full potential in a nurturing and stimulating environment. Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities · Plan, deliver, and differentiate lessons for Year 5 students, addressing diverse learning needs. · Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets. · Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. · Collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging curriculum activities and share best practices. · Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress, wellbeing, and learning goals. · Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development. Year 5 Teacher Requirements · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. · Experience teaching Year 5 or upper Key Stage 2 students. · Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Passionate about education and committed to inspiring students. · Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
