Job description
Business ECT – Outstanding School in Wandsworth (January Start) Location: Wandsworth, London Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale on a direct contract. Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Business ECT looking to begin your teaching career in an inspiring and supportive environment? An Outstanding Ofsted-rated mixed’ secondary school in Wandsworth (ages 11–18) is seeking a dedicated and creative Business Teacher (ECT) to join their successful Business Department from January 2026. About the School This high-performing, inclusive school is renowned for its excellent teaching, strong academic results, and exceptional pastoral support. ECTs at the school receive fantastic mentoring, a structured induction programme, and access to continuous professional development to help them grow into confident, accomplished teachers. The Role As a Business ECT, you will: Teach engaging and well-planned lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5. Contribute to the ongoing success of a collaborative and high-achieving Business Department. Participate fully in school life, including enrichment activities and extra-curricular clubs. Receive tailored guidance, training, and mentoring from experienced colleagues. Requirements Is completing their PGCE or equivalent qualification and will hold QTS by January 2026. Has a genuine passion for Business and for helping young people reach their potential. Demonstrates creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Is a strong communicator with excellent classroom management skills.
