Job description
Geography ECT required January 2026 Mixed secondary school based in Ipswich Geography ECT to join a dynamic and collaborative Humanities faculty Our Client is looking for a Geography ECT to work within a large and well-organised secondary school in Ipswich. The successful candidate will deliver KS3 and KS4 Geography with structured guidance from experienced colleagues and access to high-quality shared resources. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT seeking strong mentoring and practical classroom support. School Information This 11–18 school serves approximately 1,350 pupils and consistently achieves strong academic outcomes supported by clear behaviour systems and effective teaching structures. The Geography department benefits from specialist classrooms, digital mapping tools, enquiry-based schemes of work and strong links between physical and human geography teaching. ECTs benefit from a detailed induction programme, reduced timetable, regular coaching sessions and frequent informal support from within the department. Staff describe the school as energetic, well-organised and professionally supportive, with leadership that values staff progression and collaborative working.
