Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 5 Teacher for a good-rated, 2-form entry school located in Waltham Forest, starting September 2025. This is a full-time position. Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of Year 5 students. Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for development. Encourage students to take responsibility for their learning and develop their critical thinking skills. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and deliver a high standard of education. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required. Year 5 Teacher Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly in Year 5. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners. A team-oriented approach and a passion for creating an inclusive learning environment. Commitment to continuous professional development and best practices in teaching.
