Job description
Lead a department that empowers students with psychological understanding for their well-being in our outstanding Newham school! We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate leader who is passionate about the practical applications of Psychology and its relevance to student well-being. As Head of Psychology, you will inspire students to understand themselves and others better. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of a Psychology curriculum that explores relevant and engaging topics. Support teachers in making connections between psychological theory and real-world applications, including well-being. Promote student understanding of mental health and resilience. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with pastoral teams to support student well-being initiatives. Substantial experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A-Level, with an understanding of its practical applications. Proven ability to develop and implement engaging and relevant curriculum. Strong understanding of adolescent development and well-being. Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
