Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible PPA Cover Teacher for a lovely school in Barking and Dagenham, starting May 2025. Interviews will be held as soon as possible. PPA Cover Teacher Role Start Date: May 2025 Location: Barking and Dagenham Working Hours: Full-Time The School This lovely and welcoming school in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a dedicated PPA Cover Teacher to join their team after February half term. The school is committed to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where both students and staff can thrive. Teachers here are passionate about fostering personal growth alongside academic success, and the school offers a balanced curriculum designed to support every child’s development. PPA Cover Teacher Responsibilities Deliver engaging lessons for classes across various year groups (KS1/KS2) during PPA time. Implement effective teaching strategies to ensure continuity of learning and maintain high standards. Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance. Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, enthusiasm, and a love for learning. Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure smooth transitions and effective teaching. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians about student progress. Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and any other school-related activities. PPA Cover Teacher Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting, ideally across both KS1 and KS2. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs. A team-oriented approach and flexibility to work collaboratively in a school environment. A commitment to continuous professional development and educational best practices.
