Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially KS5). Inspire students to achieve their full potential in Geography and develop a deep understanding of the world around them. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the geographical opportunities and outcomes for students. Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of student progress in Geography and the impact of departmental initiatives. TLR opportunities may be available in areas such as leading assessment, data analysis, mentoring less experienced geography staff, or leading specific projects to raise attainment in Geography. Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Degree in Geography or a closely related field. Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply). Strong subject knowledge across physical and human geography, with a focus on achieving high standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate students to achieve geographical excellence. A desire to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to leadership within the Geography department and the pursuit of academic excellence (for TLR consideration).
