Job description
We are looking for a confident and capable Health & Safety Advisor to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid grounding in Health & Safety who can hit the ground running, but who also wants the opportunity to develop their consultancy skills, broaden their sector knowledge and progress within a supportive, expert-led environment. We’re looking for somebody who is beyond entry level—someone who understands the fundamentals of Health & Safety and can work independently with clients while continuing to grow professionally This is a field-based role, this role services the London region and therefore we require someone based in the London area. What would I do as a Health & Safety Advisor at Stallard Kane? You’ll work with a wide range of clients across multiple industries, delivering practical, proportionate and commercially aware Health & Safety support. Your work will be a mix of onsite visits, documentation preparation, advice delivery, and helping clients embed safe working practices tailored to their sector. While you’ll primarily cover the London and Southern region, there may be occasional travel outside your area. You’ll have autonomy while still feeling part of a collaborative, supportive team. 🔧 Key Responsibilities • Conduct onsite Health & Safety visits, audits and assessments. • Provide clear, confident and practical advice to clients across varied industries. • Prepare or update policies, risk assessments, method statements and related documents. • Support clients with accident, incident and near miss processes where required. • Deliver follow-up action plans and help clients understand their responsibilities. • Maintain accurate visit notes and ensure timely report completion. • Use specialist knowledge or previous industry experience to provide sector-specific guidance. • Represent the company professionally and consistently when onsite or via phone/email. • Engage in ongoing CPD and internal training to strengthen competence across key industries. What you’ll need? Essential NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum). Proven experience in a Health & Safety role. Ability to work independently, organise your own workload and communicate confidently with clients. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region. Desirable Prior Health & Safety consultancy experience . NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 5/6 qualification or equivalent. Professional IOSH membership. Ability to demonstrate strong sector knowledge in any key industries (e.g., construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, etc.). We welcome candidates who can bring their own industry expertise and apply it to provide tailored support to our clients. What’s on offer at Stallard Kane? We’re offering an incredible opportunity for you to join one of the leading health and safety providers in the UK. We work for all kinds of businesses, regardless of size, across a huge variety of sectors all whilst retaining a friendly and personal service which has built our reputation for being reliable, thorough and easy to work with. You will be joining an organisation that offers the opportunity to develop your career within an ever-expanding consultancy and to take ownership of your own development, with opportunities for CPD or becoming a future leader. We consider our people as paramount to our success, as indicated by our personal and generous benefits package on top of a basic salary.
