Job description
A brilliant and well-regarded primary school in Royal Tunbridge Wells is seeking an experienced and proactive Premises Manager to join the school on a full time, permanent basis as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for the smooth running, safety, and maintenance of a welcoming and well-maintained school environment. The school prides itself on its positive atmosphere, high standards, and strong sense of community. The Premises Manager will play a key role in ensuring the site remains safe, secure, and fully operational for pupils, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and security of the school site Carrying out regular health & safety checks, including fire alarms and emergency lighting Managing site compliance, risk assessments, and record keeping Coordinating contractors and overseeing site-related projects Ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of buildings and grounds Supporting school events and occasional out-of-hours requirements The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience in a Premises Manager, Site Manager, or Caretaker role Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance Practical maintenance and DIY skills The ability to manage contractors and prioritise workload effectively A proactive, reliable, and professional approach Strong organisational and communication skills This brilliant primary school in Royal Tunbridge Wells offers a supportive leadership team, a positive staff culture, and a well-maintained site.
