Year 4 Teacher – Guildford

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Guildford, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 and enjoys delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire pupils academically, socially, and emotionally. As a Year 4 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will help pupils develop independence, resilience, and confidence while fostering a love of learning. Collaboration with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents is central to ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 4 curriculum Deliver engaging literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject lessons Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours Maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment and attainment records Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives Support school events, enrichment activities, and extra-curricular opportunities Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4 Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills Be reflective, adaptable, and proactive Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing Work collaboratively as part of a professional, supportive team The school is located in Guildford, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community.
