Job description
Permanent | Full-Time An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PE ECT to join an Outstanding and inclusive secondary school in Liverpool. This is a full-time, permanent role , providing strong mentoring, structured ECT support, and excellent long-term development opportunities. • PE ECT required to work full-time • Outstanding mixed secondary school in Liverpool • Supportive and high-performing PE department with a strong ECT programme This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Early Career Teacher to begin their PE teaching career in a school with high expectations, excellent behaviour, and a strong sporting culture. The successful candidate will teach Physical Education across KS3 and KS4 , with potential involvement in KS5/BTEC Sport and extracurricular activities. Experience and Qualifications • PE ECT (PGCE or equivalent completed) • Enthusiastic and energetic classroom practitioner • Strong practical and theoretical subject knowledge • Commitment to professional development and safeguarding • Legal right to work in the UK School Information This 11–18 mixed secondary school in Liverpool holds an Outstanding Ofsted rating and is known for its inclusive ethos, excellent facilities, and commitment to student wellbeing. With around 1,200 students on roll, the school offers extensive sports provision, strong extracurricular participation, and modern PE facilities. The PE department is collaborative and well-resourced, providing ECTs with mentoring, shared planning, and access to high-quality CPD to support long-term career progression.
