Job description
A reputable primary school in Harrow is seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. The role is available for an immediate start , and we are looking for a skilled individual who has a strong background in supporting primary-aged children. The position is full-time, with the potential for either a temporary or permanent contract, depending on the candidate’s experience and preference. With a collaborative approach to teaching, we ensure that both staff and students are supported to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Support children in their learning and development, both on a one-to-one and small group basis Assist in the preparation of lesson materials and classroom activities Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning programs Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to the teacher Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment The Ideal Candidate: Has proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school Demonstrates strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and teaching methods Is confident in supporting students with varying abilities and additional learning needs Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) Is proactive, organised, and able to work effectively within a team This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving and supportive school in Harrow, where your contributions will make a real difference in the lives of students.
