Job description
Location: Yorkshire Contract: Permanent, Full-Time | Start: ASAP Salary: M1 (ECT scale) Your new school A well-regarded secondary school in Yorkshire with a collaborative English department and a strong focus on student achievement. The school is known for its inclusive ethos and excellent pastoral support, particularly for Early Career Teachers. Your new role Teaching: Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4. Curriculum: Supporting the delivery of a broad and ambitious English curriculum focused on reading, writing, and critical thinking. Mentoring: Working closely with an experienced subject mentor as part of the ECT induction programme. Pastoral: Supporting students’ academic progress and personal development. What you’ll need to succeed QTS (or pending QTS). Passion for English literature and language. Willingness to learn, reflect, and develop as a classroom practitioner. Strong organisation and communication skills. What you’ll get in return M1 salary with full ECT entitlement. Structured induction and mentoring support. Regular CPD and subject-specific training.
