Job description
Are you an experienced hospitality and events supervisor whose looking for some flexible work to suit your availability? Then this could be the role for you! We are on the lookout for a Casual Events Supervisor to work at one of our beautiful venues, The Sun Pavilion! Nestled in the heart of Harrogate Valley Gardens, The Sun Pavilion is a prestigious venue famous for it's glass dome and magical history. As an Events Supervisor, you'll be supporting our Head of Wedding and Events on event days, including weddings, banquets, dinners and birthdays. You'll be supporting the set up and delivery of each event, alongside leading the F&B team on the day and supporting with training and briefings. What we can offer £15.68 p/h including holiday pay! Flexible, casual hours to suit your availability Bi-weekly pay Opportunity to work at a large variety of showstopping events and venues- including The Great Yorkshire Show, The Paris Airshow and Doncaster St Leger Festival Paid travel time and mileage to other venues Paid induction and full training provided Full training Academy with career progression opportunities- both FOH and BOH Please note, this is a casual position. However, you will be offered shifts for and rostered for shifts with plenty of notice. Most events fall on weekends therefore to be successful, you must be able to work unsociable hours including weekends and late evenings. CGC Event Caterers is a long-established caterer with decades of experience in the hospitality industry. We operate at venues of all sizes and have exclusivity at prominent sporting, entertainment, and cultural locations across the UK. In the UK, we proudly operate at the following venues: Eight Yorkshire Racecourses, including the world-famous York Racecourse Yorkshire Event Centre – Harrogate LNER Community Stadium – York Theatre Royal and Concert Hall – Nottingham Responsibilities: Support the Head of Weddings and Events on event days Manage and lead the F&B team onsite Host staff briefings on the day Support with training of junior staff and the delivery of the CGC Academy Setting up and closing down of events Provide the highest level of customer service at all times Person Specification: Minimum 2 years previous hospitality and/or events supervisor experience Experience working weddings or large banquets is desirable A full UK drivers license and access to own transport is desirable Enthusiastic and engaging for staff and guests Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Must be flexible and adapt quickly under high pressure situations Recruitment Process: If your CV is successful, you will be invited to attend an assessment center hosted at The Sun Pavilion on the 2nd March. If successful in the role, you will then be invited to an induction on the 6th March.
