Job description
A well-regarded all-through school in Somerset is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join its department as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to teach within a supportive and inclusive environment that spans multiple key stages and places strong emphasis on pupil progress and community values. Science plays an important role across the school, with a clear focus on building strong foundations in scientific knowledge and enquiry from early years through to secondary phases. The Role Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with potential involvement in upper primary depending on experience Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons Supporting pupils with practical investigations and exam preparation Encouraging scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced Science department Contributing to enrichment activities and wider school initiatives The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A degree in a Science subject or closely related field Experience teaching Science at secondary level Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics High expectations for pupil engagement and behaviour A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach School Information This all-through school in Somerset is known for its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership, and strong sense of community.
