Full-time, Permanent - April 2025 Start Are you a passionate and inspiring Teacher of Mathematics with a desire to nurture the next generation of mathematicians, scientists, and engineers? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our high-achieving Mathematics department in a grammar school in Hillingdon. About the School: Our school is a selective grammar school with a long tradition of academic excellence. We provide a challenging and stimulating environment where students are encouraged to strive for their full potential. We have a strong focus on academic achievement and offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities to inspire students' passion for Mathematics and other STEM subjects. About the Mathematics Department: The Mathematics department is a dynamic and collaborative team with a shared passion for fostering a love of mathematics in our students. We offer a rigorous and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of mathematical topics, from pure mathematics and applied mathematics to further mathematics . We encourage students to develop their problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and mathematical fluency through a variety of teaching methods and resources, including interactive activities, technology, and real-world applications. About the Role: Teach Mathematics and/or Further Mathematics at GCSE and A Level, inspiring and challenging students to deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts and applications. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Support students in preparing for their GCSE and A Level Mathematics examinations, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to succeed. Guide students in conducting independent research and completing challenging coursework, fostering their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Mathematics curriculum remains relevant, engaging, and rigorous. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Mathematics education. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics . Demonstrates a passion for teaching Mathematics and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment. Has a good understanding of the GCSE and A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics specifications and assessment requirements. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
