Job description
A well-run secondary school in Bristol is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to support the day-to-day upkeep, safety, and presentation of the school site. This is a key operational role within a supportive school environment where high standards and pupil safety are a priority. The Role You will be responsible for maintaining the school premises, ensuring buildings and grounds are safe, secure, and well maintained throughout the school day. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out routine health and safety checks and reporting issues promptly Completing basic repairs and general maintenance tasks Supporting site security, including opening and closing procedures Ensuring classrooms, communal areas, and outdoor spaces are clean and presentable Assisting with deliveries, room setups, and school events Liaising with contractors and supporting works carried out on site Responding to site-related issues efficiently and professionally The School Environment This Bristol secondary school offers a structured and professional working environment with clear expectations and supportive leadership. Site staff are valued as part of the wider school team, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, organisation, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
