Job description
A welcoming, well-structured and supportive primary school in the Northampton / Wellingborough area is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team from January 2026 . This is a maternity cover role running until February half term or April, depending on the school’s final requirement. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a friendly school community that prioritises teamwork, pupil wellbeing and high-quality teaching. Contract Details Role: Year 2 Teacher Start: January 2026 Duration: Until February Half Term or April (Maternity Cover) Hours: Full-Time PPA: Friday afternoon, with the option to complete PPA offsite Location: Northampton (Wellingborough area) About the School The school is part of a large and supportive trust, providing a well-resourced environment and strong professional guidance. Staff collaborate closely, share planning and maintain consistency across year groups. Behaviour is well managed, leadership is approachable, and new staff benefit from clear routines and strong support from day one.
