Job description
A high-performing secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a proactive and strategic School Business Manager to join its operations team from January 2026 . The successful School Business Manager will oversee finance, HR, estates and administration, ensuring efficient processes and strong compliance across the school. Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team, the School Business Manager will provide accurate financial reporting and operational leadership. An induction and handover will be arranged before January 2026 so the School Business Manager is fully prepared for the spring term. • School Business Manager required for a permanent full-time role • School Business Manager needed for a large secondary school in Birmingham • School Business Manager joining a well-established operations and support team The School Business Manager will lead budget planning, oversee procurement, manage HR/ payroll processes and ensure statutory compliance across health & safety and estates. In Birmingham, the appointed School Business Manager will benefit from supportive leadership, structured workflows and clear strategic priorities. We are seeking an individual who is highly organised, financially astute and confident supporting whole-school operations.
