Job description
ECT: English Teacher – Launch Your Career with a Nurturing, Structured Induction Programme – Hounslow A nurturing and supportive secondary school in Hounslow is seeking an enthusiastic ECT of English (Year 1 or 2) committed to literacy development from January 2026. ECT: English Teacher required from January 2026 Hounslow-based school with an emphasis on structured induction and nurturing staff support Ideal for a graduate seeking intensive mentoring and a focus on mastering high-impact classroom delivery. You will teach English across KS3 and GCSE with a reduced timetable and a dedicated mentor. The induction is highly structured , focusing on mastering the delivery of engaging literary and linguistic concepts, using the department’s shared resources to ensure consistency and excellence. Experience and Qualifications QTS or completing final training in English or a related Humanities field High commitment to promoting literacy and engaging academic discussion Willingness to fully engage with the school's structured weekly coaching cycle Excellent potential for engaging and consistent instruction School Information The English department is extremely collaborative , with planning and assessment materials created centrally, significantly reducing individual workload. The ECT programme is structured to ensure rapid professional development within a safe and supportive environment.
