Your Role as an English ECT As an English ECT, your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering dynamic and engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. Tailoring your teaching to the diverse needs of your students, ensuring that every child has the support they need to succeed. Receiving continuous mentorship and guidance from experienced staff to help you grow as a teacher. Participating in a structured induction programme with regular CPD and feedback to develop your skills. Contributing to the wider school community, participating in extracurricular activities, and building positive relationships with students. Who We’re Looking For A committed English graduate with QTS (or working towards it). Passionate about teaching and creating an engaging classroom environment. A strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Eager to learn, grow, and make a lasting impact in a supportive school setting.
