Job description
Inspire the next generation of musicians in this rewarding Early Career role. We are looking for a talented Music ECT to join us for a permanent position, providing a high-support induction while you contribute your creative flair to our vibrant academy. The School & Staff Culture This Islington school prides itself on a culture of artistic expression and staff wellbeing. As a member of the Performing Arts team, you will be welcomed into a friendly, collaborative office where peer support is at the heart of everything we do. The leadership team understands the unique demands of creative subjects and ensures you have the facilities and time to truly excel. The Role & Responsibilities Working alongside experienced subject leads, you will handle the vital classroom and extracurricular work that brings our music department to life. Subject Instruction: Delivering engaging Music lessons across all key stages, utilizing our professional Mac suites and recording studios. Ensemble Leadership: Coordinating and leading school choirs, orchestras, or contemporary bands to enhance our cultural calendar. Performance Assessment: Utilizing evidence-based feedback to help students improve their technical and compositional skills. Induction Excellence: Engaging with the Early Career Framework (ECF) modules with the full support of a dedicated mentor. Requirements Degree: A degree in Music, Performance, or Composition. QTS: Mandatory for this position. Right to Work: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. Salary & Contract Details Salary Range: £40,317 – £62,496 (M1 – UPS3 Inner London Scale) Hours: Full-time | Permanent Contract | ASAP Start
