Job description
A secondary school in Bath is seeking a dependable and proactive Site Assistant to support the day-to-day operation and upkeep of the school premises. This is a full-time, permanent role starting in January and would suit someone looking to develop experience within site and facilities management. Job Overview You will be responsible for: • Supporting the maintenance, security, and general upkeep of the school buildings and grounds • Assisting with routine health and safety checks, inspections, and compliance tasks • Carrying out basic repairs, maintenance work, and site tasks as required • Supporting site opening, closing, and security procedures • Assisting with deliveries, room setups, and preparation for school events • Working closely with the Site Manager to ensure site standards and compliance are maintained • Responding promptly to site-related issues during the school day The School This Bath school offers: • A positive Ofsted rating and clear operational expectations • Well-organised site operations and effective systems • Supportive leadership and a collaborative working environment • A strong focus on health, safety, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing • Well-maintained buildings, grounds, and facilities Experience & Qualifications • Previous site, caretaking, or maintenance experience is desirable • Good practical skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • A reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work Application Please submit your CV to apply for this Site Assistant position in Bath.
