Job description
The Headteacher of this well-established and highly regarded secondary school is seeking to appoint a skilled and dependable Site Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and security of the school premises. This is a vital operational role, suited to an experienced professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, well-organised, and welcoming school environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager or Premises Manager looking for a stable, long-term role within a well-led school. The school values its support staff highly and offers clear expectations, strong leadership support, and a professional working culture. What the school is looking for: Colchester January or Immediate Start Site Manager / Premises Manager Full-Time | Permanent Experience managing school or large premises Strong understanding of health and safety compliance Ability to carry out routine maintenance and basic repairs Responsibility for site security, including opening and locking procedures Ability to manage contractors and oversee external works Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach The successful Site Manager will be reliable, practical, and highly organised. They will work closely with senior leaders to ensure the site operates smoothly and safely, supporting both staff and students.
