Job description
The Headteacher of this highly regarded and oversubscribed school is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Health and Social Care (HSC) Teacher to join their thriving department. Health and Social Care is a popular and growing subject at the school, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach up to KS4 and KS5, with the potential for a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher looking to progress in a supportive and ambitious environment. It would suit a teacher looking for leadership opportunities and the chance to make a significant impact on the department’s continued success. What the school is looking for: Start Date: September 2025 Position: Health and Social Care Teacher Teaching: HSC to KS4 and KS5 (GCSE and A-Level) TLR: Potential for a TLR for the right candidate ECT or experienced teachers are welcome to apply Passionate about HSC and committed to promoting student success Able to support and contribute to an already exceptional team Dedicated to delivering fresh and innovative curriculum methods Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for students of all abilities Strong communication and ICT skills The successful HSC Teacher will be ambitious and committed to the subject. They will bring energy, new ideas, and a desire to inspire students to pursue careers in Health and Social Care, encouraging a deep passion for the field. School Information: The school is an 11-18 Mixed Comprehensive serving Loughborough and the surrounding area. It has a well-established reputation for its academic success and is highly regarded within the local community. The school is known for its positive and inclusive learning environment, and their Ofsted report (2019) rated the school as Outstanding. Experience and Qualifications: A degree in Health and Social Care or a related field. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE. Salary: The salary for this HSC Teacher position will be paid according to the MPS/UPS scale, with the possibility of a TLR for the right candidate.
