Job description
We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated Computer Science teacher to take on the role of Head of Department in a forward-thinking secondary school in Coventry . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to take the next step in their career, leading a dynamic and growing department while delivering high-quality Computer Science education from KS3 to KS5 . School Information The school is committed to providing an engaging and innovative curriculum that prepares students for the ever-evolving world of technology. The Computer Science department is well-equipped with modern resources, and students show a strong enthusiasm for the subject. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive leadership team in a school that values professional development and high academic standards. The Role Lead and develop the Computer Science department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 to KS5 , preparing students for further study and careers in technology. Develop and refine the curriculum to keep pace with advancements in Computer Science and digital literacy. Mentor and support colleagues, promoting best practices and professional development. Monitor student progress and implement strategies to drive attainment and engagement. What We’re Looking For A degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with PGCE/QTS . Experience teaching Computer Science at KS3 – KS5 , with a track record of success. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire both students and staff.
