Job description
Physics Teacher – Utilise Specialist University-Grade Labs for Challenging Practical Work – Manchester (Independent) A leading independent day school in Manchester is seeking an ambitious Physics Teacher committed to challenging practical and theoretical science from January 2026. Physics Specialist required from January 2026 Manchester-based independent school with specialist , university-grade science facilities. Ideal for a scientist committed to rigorous experimentation and high-level KS5 teaching. The role involves teaching Physics across KS3–KS5 (A-Level and possibly IB), making full use of the specialist laboratories for challenging practical tasks. You will be expected to run academic extension clubs (e.g., engineering, astrophysics) and contribute to the school's rigorous academic ethos. Experience and Qualifications QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification) and a degree in Physics or Engineering. Proven ability to teach and achieve top results at A-Level Physics . Expertise in safely managing advanced practical equipment and data logging systems. Commitment to maintaining a stimulating and rigorous classroom environment.
