Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident, and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in High Wycombe, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 education and enjoys delivering engaging lessons that develop pupils’ confidence, independence, and academic skills. The school has a strong ethos of inclusion, high expectations, and pupil wellbeing. Staff collaborate to create a stimulating, structured, and supportive environment where pupils feel motivated and empowered to learn. Senior leadership is approachable and provides mentoring, guidance, and high-quality professional development opportunities. As a Year 3 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum, promoting strong learning habits, and preparing pupils for the challenges of Upper Key Stage 2. You will foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment Use assessment data to track progress and plan targeted support Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL Promote positive behaviour, independence, and a love of learning Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum Be organised, confident, and enthusiastic Have excellent classroom management and communication skills Be reflective, adaptable, and committed to professional development Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing The school is located in High Wycombe, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community.
