Job description
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Gravesend is seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher to join their supportive team from January 2026 . This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic teacher to make a real difference to pupils’ learning and development in the early years of Key Stage 1. You will join a collaborative and experienced team that values innovation, creativity, and high-quality teaching. Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Location: Gravesend, Kent Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports all pupils Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform planning and interventions Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency, share best practice, and contribute to school improvement Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies, events, and enrichment activities About the School This Gravesend primary school is known for its: Inclusive and welcoming school community Strong focus on academic excellence and personal development Collaborative and supportive teaching team Well-resourced classrooms and learning environments Commitment to staff development and wellbeing Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 , ideally Year 1 or Year 2 Excellent understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks Strong classroom management and communication skills Passion for teaching, creativity, and commitment to inclusion Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to the school community Application If you are an enthusiastic and committed KS1 Teacher ready to join a welcoming Gravesend school, we would love to hear from you.
