Job descriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sutton, starting ASAP. As a Year 4 Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the curriculum, ensuring pupils are challenged and supported appropriately. You will help pupils build confidence, independence, and resilience, while promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the Year 4 curriculum Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress effectively Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN and EAL Promote positive behaviour and high expectations Create a structured, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and school initiatives Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Have recent experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 4 Be enthusiastic, organised, and reflective in practice Have strong classroom management and planning skills Be a positive team player with excellent communication skills Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing The school is located in Sutton, with excellent transport links and a friendly, supportive community.
