Job description
The Headteacher of this highly successful and oversubscribed school is looking to appoint a new Psychology Teacher to join their Social Science department. Psychology is a popular and thriving subject with excellent outcomes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Psychology teacher looking to progress in a highly skilled, supportive environment. This role would suit an aspirational teacher looking to develop further within a subject they are passionate about. What the school is looking for: Location: Birmingham Start Date: September 2025 Position: Psychology Teacher (ECT or experienced) Teaching: Psychology to KS4 and KS5 An outstanding practitioner A passion for Psychology The ability to support an already exceptional team The ability to secure excellent achievement across all key stages A commitment to fresh and exciting methods of delivering the curriculum A relentless drive to secure the best possible outcomes for students of all abilities Excellent communication and ICT skills The successful Psychology Teacher will be ambitious and committed to the teaching of Psychology. They will bring enthusiasm, dedication, and ideas to the department and a desire to promote success, instilling in their students a passion for the subject. School Information: The School is an 11-18 Mixed Comprehensive serving Birmingham and the surrounding community. It is highly regarded in the local area and recognised as a friendly and welcoming school with high academic standards. The school has a very positive learning culture and their Ofsted report (2016) graded the school as Outstanding. Experience and Qualifications: Degree in Psychology or similar QTS or PGCE Salary: The salary for this Psychology Teacher position will be paid to scale MPS/UPS.
