Job description
Are you an enthusiastic and skilled Food Technology Teacher who loves inspiring students to explore creativity, culture, and healthy living through food? A prestigious independent school in Exeter is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering small class sizes, excellent facilities, and a vibrant, community-driven school environment. The Role You will teach Food Preparation and Nutrition across KS3–KS5, delivering lessons that combine creativity, science, and cultural awareness. Students are encouraged to experiment with flavours, techniques, and presentation, building confidence and independence in a supportive, well-equipped setting. You will also have the opportunity to lead enrichment clubs, charity bake events, and sustainability projects that celebrate local ingredients and ethical food production. The role would suit a teacher who enjoys blending traditional culinary techniques with modern, innovative teaching approaches. The Food Technology Department features modern demonstration kitchens, digital recipe displays, and professional-grade equipment, creating an ideal space for hands-on learning.
