Job description
A welcoming and well-organised primary school in Southwark is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026. The school has a strong focus on inclusive education and provides a calm, structured learning environment where pupils are encouraged to thrive academically and socially. • Teaching Assistant required on a full-time basis from January 2026 • Teaching Assistant role within a supportive and inclusive primary school in Southwark • Permanent opportunity beginning January 2026 Working closely with class teachers and support staff, you will play a key role in supporting pupils across the classroom, ensuring learning is accessible, engaging, and well supported. The school places high value on collaboration, staff wellbeing, and professional development. Key responsibilities include: Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning Assisting with classroom organisation and resources Supporting positive behaviour and engagement Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment The successful candidate will demonstrate: Previous experience working with children A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing Willingness to learn and develop professionally This is a rewarding Teaching Assistant role starting January 2026.
